Creating social-first content campaigns to announce celebrity team owners for the E1 World Championship

PRE-PRODUCTION & IDEATION

Working with E1 we put together a detailed plan of action to confirm the content we want to create and release across social around the announcement. This information would be worked into a detailed running order to maximise the two-hour window we have with the celebrity team owner and ensure we get everything we need for the announcement and beyond

SHOOT DAYS

The core piece of content we create is a hype video that introduces the new team owner and tells their backstory as to why they chose E1 while at the same time pushing the key info about the new championship to their huge fanbases. We twist and change the information / content each time to suit their individual fanbases, what might turn Tom Brady’s fans’ heads might not for Steve Aoki

DELIVERY

Following the shoot day, all content will be edited and published across social by the Curveball team within one working week, including all different versions for individual platforms

SUPPORTING CONTENT

Making a splash on social goes beyond just creating one asset, it needs build up through teasers and amplification through community management to be a success. For each team we tease the announcement with a strong visual asset, and then create team livery posters, short-form social videos and hero photography to work alongside the hype promo and keep the momentum going. It’s a great opportunity to engage with your followers and strengthen the beyond between brand and fan through replying to comments and sharing their opinions
